Based in the East Neuk of Fife, Bowhouse has developed a reputation as a place for making; a hub of local food and drink producers and traders. A new online market place launched this month allows this connection between producers with customers to continue.
The country’s leading digital farmers’ market, NeighbourFood is looking to reach new producers, suppliers and market organisers as Coronavirus restrictions increase online demand for quality local produce.
Since launching their Crowdfunder on the 20th of March, Nourish Scotland, Edinburgh Food Festival, Edinburgh Food Social, Nourishing Change and Slow Food Scotland have raised over £6,000 for the Food for Good Coalition.
Killin’s first digital farmer’s market will open on Monday 13 April with weekly food collections from the village post office on Fridays between 3 and 5 pm.
